Get involved

Randwick PS is always looking for volunteers! It’s a great way to get to know the school community and to make local friends. Often the P&C will advertise these roles at the meetings held once a month.

Tell us about your amazing talents and we will find a job for you! Are you experienced in running events, an amazing graphic designer, a budding creative, good at securing sponsorship, interested in sustainability ...? We are always looking for people who can assist with our future projects and programs so please get in touch via email.

The P&C is a volunteer run group of busy people. With a greater number of people helping, not only do our children benefit from greater opportunities at school but the share of work is more equally distributed amongst parents.

Here are some of the ways that you can get involved at the moment. Please check back here in a few months as there may be new jobs listed:

  • Uniform Shop volunteers are needed ASAP! This requires a commitment of about  3-4 hours a term from 8.45-9.30 am. It’s fun and no retail experience is required! Toddlers/preschoolers are most welcome to accompany their parent.

  • The school is always looking for SARP and SAMP volunteers. This is a program where parents assist students who have been identified as needing extra assistance with reading or maths. Please contact the school office for more information - (02) 9398 6022.

  • Please contact your class teacher to find out if they need reading or maths group helpers (K-2 only).

  • Bake cupcakes at any one of our bake sales!

PLEASE NOTE: For volunteering in the school environment (eg reading groups and school excursions) all parent/carer/family members must complete Appendix 5 and show 100 points of ID at the school’s front office. Please contact the school office for more information - (02) 9398 6022.
